Om bostaden

Situated on the edge of Zone 1, close to two tube stations and with frequent buses to Waterloo, Westminster and beyond, it is the perfect base for a vacation exploring London. Both tube stations are a 10-minute walk away, or take the bus and be at Tate Britain, Big Ben, or Westminster Abbey in 10-15 minutes!

The house is situated in a safe, quiet, residential street and with space to spread out and relax (a scarce commodity in most London holiday apartments) it is perfect for families, couples, or larger groups. On quiet nights you can even hear Big Ben strike and the River Thames is just a short walk away. The new American Embassy is being built nearby, very close to the impressive MI6 building.

Please note that this is a traditional British semi-detatched house, not an apartment. You occupy the whole house, so no noisy neighbours above, or below!

There is both a large supermarket

and a smaller express supermarket 5-minutes away, plus cafés, delis and restaurants, all within easy reach. There is also a gym nearby to work off the the calories.

The property has just been totally refurbished and is supplied with everything you'll need to make your stay stress free and comfortable and cut down on your luggage. There is a small, but fully loaded kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge/freezer. Upstairs, are two large bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed and remote controlled ceiling fans, a smaller bedroom with full sized bunk bed and a family bathroom with bath tub and power shower. Downstairs there is a shower room, a lounge with double sofa bed, ceiling fan and flat screen TV and a dining room (seats 8) leading out to a patio garden. A baby cot and fold out child's bed can also be supplied on request. The house is centrally heated and double

glazed. Linens, towels, bathrobes and 2 hair driers are supplied. The house sleeps 8 to 10 (8 in beds/sofabed, plus we can provide an extra fold out bed and cot)

For relaxing at night, a selection of DVDs, CDs and Xbox 360 games are available (please ask, as we like to offer age appropriate films and games), as well as books and games. Free Wi-Fi is available. Also supplied are two pay-as-you-go phones which you can top-up and use during your stay. Some basic food stuffs to get you started are included, such as tea, coffee (instant, decaff and filter), milk, bread, eggs, butter, cooking oil, olive oil and condiments. If you would like us to have your own shopping ready for you when you arrive we can arrange that for a small fee of £10, or you can order it online and have it delivered and we will put perishables in the fridge. If you have any special requirements, please let us know and

we will do our best.

Check in is 3 p.m. Check out is 10 a.m.

If you are arriving early, we can look after your luggage until check in time, so you can fit in some sightseeing. We try to be as flexible as possible with arrival and departure times.

There is a total no smoking policy in the house, but guests may smoke in the garden.

Daily parking permits can be arranged, the cost is £5 per day.

We are nearby, so always on call for any queries. We look forward to making your stay in London a wonderful experience and hope to welcome you back again and again.

Perfect!

We only just arrived back home in Sweden and are thinking back on the days in London. Jeff and Bev are perfect hosts, they fulfilled all our needs and helped us making this holiday perfect for the whole family. We are a family of six, four children between 10 and 16, and this house was absolutely marvellous! The house is very nice decorated and we just loved all the English details like cushions and pot holders. There were DVDs to watch or Xbox to play after a long day of sightseeing. All details like schampo, conditioner, oyster cards, bathrobes and the food that Jeff and Bev provided us with are only a few things. They have really thought of everything!

Thank you so much again, I hope that we will have the opportunity to come back.

Séjour parfait à Londres

Nous avons séjourné 5 jours chez Jeff et Bev (2 adultes et 2 grands enfants).

Le logement est très bien situé (à environ 10 mn du centre de Londres en bus), calme, propre et extrêmement bien équipé. Location idéale pour un séjour de quelques jours (grand supermarché à 200 m).

Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles si besoin.

Bref, très bon rapport qualité/prix, à recommander.

We loved this little house in London ! The grocery store and bus lines were very convenient and close by. The owners are very nice and very helpful. Highly recommend !

Tolles Ferienhaus

Dieses Ferienhaus ist nur zu empfehlen! Man hat alles, was man braucht und die Atmosphäre ist sehr gemütlich. Wir waren eine Gruppe von sieben Personen und alle sehr zufrieden.

Die Gastgeber haben uns eine sehr ausführliche und unterhaltsame Einweisung in das Haus gegeben und einfach an alles gedacht um es den Gästen bequem zu machen. Viel Info-Material über Pubs, Restaurants, Aktivitäten und vieles mehr ist vorhanden.

Unsere Adapter, die wir uns besorgt hatten, erwiesen sich als überflüssig, denn jede Steckdose war bereits damit ausgestattet. Zum Einkaufen im nahegelegenen Supermarkt (Sainsbury´s) gibt es genug Taschen, für schlechtes Wetter Regenschirme und für nasses Haar nach dem Duschen sind Föhne vorhanden ;-)

Die Lage ist wunderbar um London zu erkunden. Die nächste Bushaltestelle ist nicht weit entfernt.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und mit viel Sorgfalt eingerichtet.

Meine vier Kinder (23, 20, 16 und 13 Jahre alt) und ich, habe sich schnell zu Hause fefühlt in diese Wohnung. Die kleine Extras wie frische Blumen, schon etwas im Kühlschrank und Pantoffeln für alle, haben sicher daran beigetragen. Die Wohnlage ist sehr ruhig und wir haben uns auch sehr sicher gefühlt. Durch gut organisierte offenbare Verkehrsmitteln, ist alles was man sehen will, gut erreichbar.

Greatly recommended

Jeff and Bev’s house is adequately equiped with all the stuffs you need at a proper house, and the house enjoys an advantageous geographical position, enabling us to get to the must-to-go places in London conveniently. What's more, Jeff and Bev provided us with free use of oyster cards and said goodbye to us in person, making us feel like a family. We really enjoyed our stay there.
