Stugan är byggd i stil med en traditionell trappershytt som var vanligt i området när västet avgjordes. Det är 600 kvadratmeter och innehåller ett sovrum och ett badrum. Stugan sover 3 bekvämt. Sovrummet har dubbelsäng och en av kärleksstolarna omvandlas till en enda gömma en säng. Stugan har ett vardagsrum med matbord sittplatser för sex. Det finns ett komplett kök med alla nödvändigheter för att laga mat på västerländsk stil. Stugan veranda är täckt och har med vacker utsikt över området Bitteroot Moutain. Den stora sidodäcken har utsikt över Jesse Creek och eldstaden. Det finns uteservering på detta däck med en grillstation för utomhuslagning och ätning. Fastigheten har tillgång till vandringsled längs viken som har använts i århundraden. Kabinen är ca 3/4 av en mil från centrala laxen. Riklig parkering finns tillgänglig om du har en båt, fyrhjuling eller snömaskiner du planerar att använda under din vistelse i området.

We expect the guest to leave the cabin the way they found it. We expect the guest to treat the cabin with respect and as if it were their home. We do not currently charge a cleaning fee. We expect the guest to wash and put away their dishes, strip the bed sheets and place in the clothes hamper, broom sweep the floor, shake the small throw rugs and gather their garbage and place it in the provided outdoor trash receptacle. The cabin is to be left clean and tidy. Camp chairs are provided for use in the fire pit area. Patio furniture remains on the deck. Firewood is provided for use in the fire pit. Please enjoy the Log Cabin and your stay in the Salmon River Country!

cabin was just want we wanted

Ralph was timely and responsive to all of my questions and gave helpful information. The cabin was comfortable, well-stocked and everything worked. We enjoyed being there and liked the quiet neighborhood and easy access to town. All in all very positive.

Beautiful cabin and landscaping on the river

Loved the cabin next to the river. The cabin feels secluded because of the beautiful landscaping that hides neighbors. It’s perfect for a couple retreat. The door into the bathroom inside the bedroom is louvred, not a lot of privacy if that’s an issue. Bed is comfortable, kitchen has everything you need. Great place. Host is very helpful.

We are a retired couple who lived in Salmon for 18 years prior to moving to Wyoming for a job opportunity. We purchased the property in 2006 with plan for a retirement home. We decided instead to move to the Boise area to be nearer to the kids and grandkids. We still love the Salmon area and have many friends there. We wanted a place, beyond our camp trailer, to stay when we visit the area and friends. We had an opportunity to buy a log shell from a log home builder in Salmon. We bought it and moved it to the property as our home away from home. We use it mainly in the early spring and late fall.
We both grew up in small towns in Eastern Colorado and still enjoy the small town feeling that Salmon offers but yet it has the amenities of most large towns. Salmon has many outdoor recreation activities that we enjoy as well as restaurants. It has a challenging 9-hole golf course, many scenic areas, parks, river walks, mtn. bike trails and other. We feel Salmon is an undiscovered area that can use a boost from tourism. We decided to open our cabin for visitors to enjoy this beautiful valley and friendly people.

Looking for a base for an outdoor vacation without camping? This cabin takes you back to an earlier time but still offers many comforts of home. It provides a place to relax on the deck or sit by a cozy fire. It provides a place to view nature and to dream of how it might have been back in pioneer days. The cabin sleeps 3 comfortably but has areas for young children with a bit of adventure.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

There is nothing like sitting on the front deck with a cup of coffee or a beer looking out at the Bitteroot Mtns. The large side deck offers a place to gather, grill a burger or steak, and look out over the landscaping and vegetation along the creek. We have used native plants for the most part to landscape in front and off the deck. This is challenging as the deer also like this area and can often be seen along the creek; along with many birds and humming birds feeding on the flowers. It is a great weekend get away or a home base for a week vacation.
