Amazing location and experience

The property’s location cannot be better- right on the Manasquan beach and just literal steps to the ocean. Also, the house is right by the Manasquan inlet. Communication with the host was great, House was extremely clean, and my family and I have nothing but good things to say. Hope to stay here again next year.

WONDERFUL!

I came up from Florida to see the fall colors with my 2 daughters. We were going to get a hotel, but decided to get a house. Beachfront made our trip more than double the enjoyment! Felt like home the moment we walked in the door. Pefect location with beautiful views of the ocean and all the boats going through the inlet. Step right out the door onto the beach! No hassle finding a parking spot. Even has 2 spots available using the garage and the driveway. Nancy and Kent thought of everything we could possible need and more. They were available when I had a question. I do suggest reading the well done manual provided that answers almost every question a guest could have. So looking forward to staying at Beachfront again!

Best Beach House

We loved staying at this property and would definitely return. The owners go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Everything was meticulously clean and organized. The second we walked in the door we fell in love. The home itself it right on the beach with breathtaking views. It is the perfect beach house.

We had a great stay!

The house was wonderful. It’s a beautiful house, with a tremendous amount of character. You kind of feel like you are staying in a museum, with a lot of historical elements that reflect the history of the house, the family and the area. Each element has a neatly written note, describing the history of the piece - hence the comment about staying in a kind of a museum. Quite a lot of character. We met the hosts, Nancy and Kent. They are both incredibly nice and accommodating people. Nancy was extremely responsive throughout the process, usually getting back to us within a couple of hours regarding any questions that we had. The house was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is perfect, right on the beach in a very quiet residential area. All in all, an extremely nice 5-star stay! We would highly recommend staying here, and will certainly come back again in the future!

Nancy K. Mountford är värd

Kent and Nancy are both marine biologists who love the sea and Manasquan. Kent's family owned the original cottage, which was destroyed in 2012 by Hurricane Sandy. This cottage captures the feel of the old cottage which was over 100 years old, but with all modern conveniences. Kent is now an environmental historian and writes newspaper columns and books from both here and our home in MD. Nancy also grows orchids on a commercial level.

Varför värden valde detta boende

The original house on this property was in the family for over 90 years. We rebuilt new after Hurricane Sandy, putting it up on 8 ft. pilings and making it livable year round. This part of the beach is the best surfing beach in NJ.

This summer has been wonderful for renting the beach house. We will be keeping the same rates for summer 2016 as 2015 until September 15, 2015 when we will have a small increase.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Fantastic views from front and back; quick walk to the water - you can take a dip and come back to the outside showers and sit in the beach front or back chairs to sun. We are the third house from the Manasquan inlet which provides an endless parade of boats to watch from either the front or back porches and balconies. Families all know each other and are very friendly Scroll down and see the weather conditions as well. The best surfing beach in NJ is right out front! Prefer family groups and no 'group' rental or large parties allowed. Must be at least 25 years old (insurance requires this).
