The house is beautifully located on a hillside, with wonderful views of the mountains and the valley towards Gap. Our grandchildren loved the spacious garden and, of course, the pool; we loved dining outside on the patio, watching the Pic de Morgan turn pink in the sunset. Inside the house, there is plenty of room with comfortable seating, a well-equipped kitchen and good bedrooms and bathrooms. The Lac de Serre-Poncon is within easy reach, with plenty of water based activities for all ages. We also enjoyed visits to Gap-Aventure, Barcelonette, Embrun and the Parc National des Ecrins. For eating out, probably our best meal was lunch at the little lakeside restaurant on the Plage de la Voilerie at Savines-le-lac. Otherwise, it was easy to shop at the supermarket on the outskirts of Gap and make use of the in-house barbecue and pizza oven.
In summary, this house will provide you with the perfect base for a holiday away from crowds of tourists, but still with plenty of interesting sights and activities. I have no hesitation in recommending it.
