I was born and raised in Rethymno, a picturesque town on the north coast of Crete. At Athens University I studied ancient Greek philosophy, a fascinating subject, but which I never used in my professional life. I was employed by a leading Greek bank for twenty years, the last six as a branch manager.
I consider my involvement in tourism a challenge. I hope to promote the beauty of Crete and I will meet people from a variety of countries and cultures who I will do my utmost to offer all the information necessary to make their holiday here an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
I myself love travelling abroad. I have often been to many European cities. Travelling is enormously educational, as it gives you the opportunity to get to know the tradition and cuisines of different countries, as well as visiting important museums and art galleries.
I also enjoy cooking. I invariably use organic products when cooking for my family.
I am a great admirer of the Greek poet Cavafy, who lived in Alexandria. My favourite poems are The City and the First Step!
Animals are a great weakness of mine. I have a 9-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, called Romeo, because of whom I became a vegetarian.
I speak English very well.

The great advantage of this amazing villa is really its external area. The 25m2 swimming pool invites the guests to relax on the sun beds and enjoy the warm Cretan sun while "resting" their gaze on the endless blue horizon. The large Mediterranean trees (olives, apricots, figs, pomegranates) offer generously their shade to the barbeque and the outdoor seating areas, making it the perfect place to enjoy your breakfast. The vegetable garden (“perivoli”) from where visitors can harvest their salad vegetables is an extra bonus!

Built in the middle of the island, this stunning villa is the ideal place for guests wishing to travel a lot around the island. Located at the north side, about 6 km east of Rethymnon (the third largest city of the island with a population of 30.000 inhabitants), and around 80 km from the international airports of Chania to the west or Heraklion to the east. Rethymno is about 8 minutes drive, while Heraklion and Chania airports are about 1 hour drive.
The cottage is located in an olive grove in a region with the Turkish name Cesme. The position of the residence up on a hill provides unobstructed view to the Cretan Sea and the Plain of Platanias, an area with many high quality hotels, restaurants, bars, pop art shops etc.
The nearest sandy beach is only 1 km away.
The area is particularly suitable for guests interested in hiking. Just outside the property there is a path leading to “Maroulas”, a traditional village with Venetian color and about 5 km inland is the picturesque , green gorge of Mili with the abandoned village located by the torrent.
At a distance of about 16 km lies the historic Arkadi monastery a monument of self-sacrifice in 1866 during the fight for liberation from the ottoman occupancy.
