Riverfront Mid Century Modern - 4 säsongsuthyrning

Denna unika mitt århundrade hem erbjuder fyra årstider njutning på den vackra Susquehanna River i Wyoming County. Beläget på 2. 5 hektar med över 100 "på floden. Detta moderna hem är inte din typiska Pocono eller Endless Mountain Cabin, men en elegant reträtt för dem med mer modern smak.

Att gå in i hemmet är som ingen annan i området. Det platta taket, breda takfoten och stuckaturens yttre sätter det ifrån sina grannar. Från foajén kan du se de expansiva fönstren i den öppna planen Living and Dining med fantastisk utsikt över gräsmattan och floden bortom. Detta rum är professionellt inrett med möbler från byggnadsperioden (1951) samt med moderna delar som arbetar med de rena linjerna i huset. En vedeldad spis med en handgjord kirsebärmantel ankar den huvudsakliga sittgrupp. Mat för 6-8 runt teakbordet fullbordar detta utrymme.

Det mysiga köket ligger bekvämt utanför ingången och vardagsrummet har nyare apparater men behåller charmen hos de ursprungliga björkskåpens. Sittplats för två vid frukostbordet.

Av i foajén finns två generösa sovrum med en queen size-säng. Sovrummen är åter dekorerad med en blandning av tid och nya möbler för att fungera bra med rummets rena linjer. Kakelbadet med marmorgolv har en unik glasblockmur i badkaret / dusch - nyskapad design för lantgård i 1950.

På baksidan av huset finns en täckt bluestone terrass med bord för 6 och en gasgrill. Människor besöker flodens användning och utsikt, men den stora välbevarade gården är ett drag för spel och sport.

Från våren till hösten erbjuder Susquehanna-floden aktiviteter från att simma i det varma vattnet på sommaren till kajakpaddling och paddling (huset har två kajaker och en 15-kanot) samt fiske (PA-licens krävs - ingen fiskeutrustning tillhandahålls) . Fiske är stor som framgår av alla sommarbasbåtarna. En båtlansering ligger några kvarter bort för användning av ditt eget personliga vattenfartyg. Dramatiket på höstlövverket finns i denna dal i de ändlösa bergen.

Det roliga stoppar inte i det milda vädret, men fortsätter på vintern. Det mysiga varma huset ligger cirka 30 minuter från den nyligen renoverade Montage Mountain Ski Resort och lite längre norrut för Elk Mountain - båda representerar den bästa skidåkning i Pennsylvania!

New friend group annual getaway!

Some of my old design friends from college and I wanted to have a getaway over labor day weekend and found this adorable mid-century inspired home somewhat on the way to Philly. We needed a place to stay for a night because we had been driving cross-country. Being able to walk down to the river in the morning and catch up with my friends drinking coffee is something I won't forget. I had to finish up some remote work and was able to have my own quiet space in the basement and use the wifi. This house has been loved and it felt like home, even just being there for a day/night. Thank you so much, we are making this place a pit stop each year!! And thank you to the host for answering all the questions we had about the space.

Mom's birthday adventure

home was within a few miles of our family that we were visiting. We were there for mom's 100th birthday to see her family we have not seen in at least 3 years. Was very nice location where mom could see the wildlike and the river. We would love to stay there again.

This is a lovely home and a beautiful location. My family and I enjoyed our time together here.

The house is beautiful and clean. The location is lovely in the fall and spring! My family, which included young and old, enjoyed kayaking on the river, hiking some nearby trails, going for long walks around the neighborhood, cooking meals together, just relaxing on the back patio, and watching movies together. The kids loved playing on the nearby playground, running around the big backyard, and walking down by the river. The house had everything we needed for our stay. All of the neighbors are super friendly.

Comfortable Stay, but overpriced

It was a comfortable stay with a nice yard and lots of area to walk. There is a restaurant at the end of the road that was surprisingly good. There is zero cell phone reception so be aware of that. I didn't have the lockbox code pulled up on my phone when I got there and had to drive 20 minutes to find reception. The notes are also very out of date. I think they had moved the lockbox and gotten a new oven since they wrote the notes which was kind of confusing. They also didn't mention the wifi password in the notes-- it's on the back of the router. Besides those few hiccups, we enjoyed our stay. What really got me what the cleaning fee, it was clear it had not been cleaned before our stay. I definitely left it cleaner than I found it.
