Visitors confirm our sense that the view from our ridge of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee Mountains to the east is truly delightful. It wasn't till we lived here though that we began to collect photos of the spectacular sunrises over the lake and mountains. We thought the 1821 Cape Cod farmhouse, with original moldings and proportions appropriate to 200 years ago, was charming and cozy but the kitchen and baths are modern and efficient, just as they should be. You can curl up with a book on the Master Bedroom window seat, ensconced in throw pillows and an afghan, while soup or spaghetti sauce bubbles gently on the stove and bread rises in the "warming oven", casting a glance from time to time out the wide window on the view towards the White Mountains.
Convenient both to amenities like Gunstock Resort (1.1 miles away) and Route 93 (about 5 miles), one can get to Manchester Airport in about a hour, Boston in 90 minutes, Hampton Beach in 45 minutes, Lake Winnipesaukee in 10 minutes and a half dozen other ski resorts or state parks for a variety of outdoor sports in New Hampshire, within 45-60 minutes. Charming Wolfeboro, NH is about 30 minutes drive.
