Cortijo Andalus är ett stort hus i hjärtat av Andalusien som är den perfekta semesterstugan för stora grupper. Boendet är uppdelat över ett huvudhus och 3 lägenheter med 9 rymliga och vackert inredda sovrum, alla med eget dusch eller badrum. Huset och varje lägenhet har sitt eget kök och matplats, vilket gör utformningen idealisk för grupper som består av 3 eller 4 familjer. Det finns en stor hall med öppen spis och lounge samt ett spelområde med biljardbord, bordfotboll och bordtennis och även en tv-lounge med satellit-tv och wifi-internet, och det finns gott om terrasser och uteplatser där gästerna kan äta utomhus. Poolen är fantastisk och är omgiven av ett staket vilket gör den idealisk för familjer med små barn och hela cortijo omges av en hög stenmur som gör cortijo mycket privat. Förutom att vi kan organisera flygplatstransfer, kockar, musiker (från jazz till Flamenco), massage och yoga terapeuter för att besöka cortijo kan vi också hjälpa till att organisera några spektakulära dagsturer.

Beautiful villa with gorgeous surroundings perfect for large groups

The villa is gorgeous and perfectly suited our needs- as 5 separate families wanting a group holiday. It’s within easy reach of Granada and Malaga with some quaint towns near by. Bruno, the villa manager, was wonderful and so helpful. He arranged yoga and massage for us, booked a group dinner and arranged a traditional Spanish meal to be cooked at the villa (all of which I thoroughly recommend). On the downside, some areas are a little run down (as others have mentioned, some new soft furnishings are needed) and the kitchens require a bit of getting used to so you don’t blow the electrics with a kettle! However, this didn’t spoil anything and the villa was very clean when we arrived, the pool area was fantastic and we all agreed it was good value for the money. We had a wonderful holiday here and I would totally recommend it!

Rustic Spanish retreat

My family and I stayed here for one week to celebrate my 50th birthday. From the moment I booked every request and enquiry was dealt with promptly and professionally. Bruno the manager of the property went out of his way every day to make our stay as perfect as it could be. He made sure there were enough supplies waiting for us to get us through the weekend until we could go shopping. He helped us with transfers and restaurant bookings and even took us and picked us up from places close by. He organised a superb flamenco night with a Spanish chef and even supplied pool inflatables to occupy my 6 year old grandson. Bruno alone deserves 5 stars because nothing was too much trouble and he was forever smiling and making sure we were happy. The property is split into four, with each section having its own kitchen area. The pool was clean and the bathrooms all had plenty of hot water all day at a brilliant pressure. It did lack however enough comfortable seating areas in many of the courtyards. For example, the sun comes up in the morning at the back of the property but there was no table or chairs at the back of the property for us to take advantage of this and so you have to wait until the sun gets high enough to reach the pool area. The soft furnishings are rather shabby and really do need replacing for some that can be cleaned. We were a group of 16 and at times struggled with the lack of adequate sun beds around the pool. However, the large dining hall and outdoor eating areas did have enough chairs. The kitchens are well stocked with brilliant hobs but we struggled with the dish washers and toasters because they often were unreliable. Also the configuration of the rooms were not as advertised on the website. The website states that only 2 rooms are twins but the reality was that 4 were although all the double rooms did have at least 1 single bed in them as well. All in all I would say that some investment needs to be made in this property on things like soft furnishings but the manager Bruno really is an asset to this property because his hard work and dedication in making sure you have the best stay ever helps you to overlook the negatives of the property. Would I stay again? You bet I would, thanks to Bruno.

Relaxation oasis

Amazing is the best word to describe this house. Having our wedding there it was magic, almost fairytale like. I can say it was one of the best holidays ever for all our family and our friends. Perfect place to just relax and forget about crowded and noisy cities, surrounded only by olive trees and wild birds. Plenty of beautiful little towns and cities to visit just 1h-1h1/2 away(car it's a must). A few little village restaurants in the area with amazing food and surprisingly cheap (recommend El Charcon). Many thanks to Bruno and Stefan, much appreciated all their efforts to make our stay such enjoyable. A+ for the overall experience.

The villa is large & beautiful, surrounded by olive groves as stated. However it is in need of make

We arrived at 3pm and although the villa wasn't quite ready for us, the cleaners where still there, we where able to use the pool area whilst we waited. In general the property is beautiful but it really needs some investment, some of the furniture was quite shabby, half the fans where broken and temperatures where hitting 45 during our stay so it was difficult to sleep at night. Only 3 sunbeds! we where a party of 19! we where told we could use the mattresses fro. the ground floor sitting room but they where heavy to shift & you could only lie them flat. Most of the outside seating was cast iron but had very insubstantial seat pads so not very comfy - particularly for our elderly relatives. The cooking facilities also need updating, the main kitchen had a large gas range cooker but you couldn't use the oven and the gas went out if you used more than a couple if the rings. There was a small electric oven but it took forever to cook & burnt or under cooked the food. In the downstairs 'suite' there was an awful sewage/drain smell that remained for the whole 10 days even though we complained. Bruno who was the site manager was completely lovely & did what he could to make our stay enjoyable but it's quite obvious that the villa has had little investment and is in desperate need of a refurb - 1 toaster worked out of the 4 kitchens, fridge door fell off, rat running across sideboard.....apart from that it's in a beautiful yet isolated (need a car) location & could be amazing with a bit of care & not too much money to rectify the problems.

wedding at cortijo andalus

me my new wife and our familes had an amazing week and wedding day at this beautiful villa . it could not off been any more perfect for us . the surrounding area is stunning with the lake being just a 5 minuet drive away which is a lovely day to relax and enjoy some quality time with family and friend , the villa is so private that you can party into the early hours without worrying if your are being to noisy which is always a good thing on holiday :-),everyones already planning a return next year hopefully .

My wife and I have lived in Iznajar, Andalucia for 8 years and spent 6 of those lovingly restoring this abandoned olive mill.
We have 3 children, all of whom attend the local primary school and feel supremely lucky that we found this stunning spot.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We knew we wanted to leave London and wanted a little adventure. We spent 5 years or so travelling all over Spain and France but something just felt right when we saw this huge building that offered plenty of possibilities. It was just one of those cases when something you see just feels right.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The size and location. I wanted somewhere where i could turn up the radio on Sunday mornings and no one would complain.
Also the Spanish people. I have never met a more friendly and inclusive bunch of people and have made some of my best friends here in Iznajar.
