Coming from a very rural area, I was disappointed in the location, not a great part of town. Homeless people just one block down, trash everywhere. The lady that let us in and gave us the keys was very nice, she gave us tips on the must see attractions. The house itself was not the cleanest...the shower smelled like mold... black in the corners, the toilets were filthy, we had only one towel per person for the four days we were there, several of the lightbulbs were not working throughout the house... bothered me due to it being the bathroom, we had to go get a couple candles to try to mask the smell, all we had were paper towels to wipe down the counters and table, the rooms were dusty with cobwebs. The people staying on the other side were very nice, we had a lovely visit with them. Overall, this experience will make me look at hotels for our next trip! If you are going to San Francisco, my suggestion is to stay closer to the Pier and find a hotel that lets you park your car for free!
