Vacker 3 BR Berkshire Hem - Bergsutsikt & Sekretess på 10 Acres

Vackert, ljust och rent 3 sovrum hem är inte ett "hyra" hus (vi använder det som vår familj skidhus hela vintern). Den sitter på 10 hektar och är mycket privat. Har enastående vyer, en enorm gård (perfekt för barn) och smakfullt anlagd. Den möblerade skärmad i veranda sitter på en mycket stor omslag runt däck för att njuta av utsikten och vackra sommarnätter i Berkshires. Det finns en ström som går längs hela fastigheten som är mycket avkopplande att lyssna på på natten. Närheten till strömmen och skogen erbjuder också bra utforskning.

Stor öppen planlösning med vardagsrum och kök på första våningen med en stor sten från golv till tak i vardagsrummet. Alla tre sovrummen ligger på andra våningen. Det stora sovrummet har välvda tak, master bad och en privat däck med utsikt över bergen.

I januari 2018 installerade vi ett stort bildfönster med utsikt över fastigheten och bergen.

Perfect house in the mountains

We stayed here for the summer of 2020 and couldn't have landed in a better spot. It was everything we hoped it would be when we booked, and then some. The home was exactly as pictured, in the best way possible. The owner was super responsive when we had questions or as things came up. The location and views can't be beat - we were close enough to the Berkshires to be there when we wanted, but far enough to really enjoy the peace and remoteness too. We're thrilled that we've added great memories of our summer in the Orange House to our kids' childhoods.

Country Heaven

I have rented several properties in the Berkshires, all previously on the MA side. This house and it’s view wins hands down! Frankly, I would’ve been content just looking out the window or sitting on the screen porch all week — the view is that stunning! The house is very comfortable and Rick the owner proved 100% communicative from start to finish. The location is definitely rural and best if you don’t mind driving a little to towns like Stockbridge, Lenox, Lee and Pittsfield (I went to all). It’s about 45 mins to the Albany airport. There’s a riding stable very close by. Local Farmer’s market on Sunday. A few flea markets, too. I hope to rent this house again!

Beautiful, peaceful Berkshires stay

We had a wonderful week in the Berkshires. The house was exactly as shown in the photos; Immaculately kept and comfortable. We absolutely loved the views out the back of the house: extraordinarily green and rolling hills. Rick is a wonderful host, responsive and helpful. The house is really well located, almost everything we wanted to do was about 20 minutes away. A great location to get our first taste of summer in the Berkshires. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Vacation Rental

We stayed here for 10 days and used it as our base for enjoying the myriad cultural offerings of the Berkshires. It worked out tremendously well. The house is perfect. Very quiet and secluded, but just a short drive away from Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Shakespeare & Co, Williamstown Theater, Mass MOCA etc. We even ventured down to the Fisher Center at Bard for a performance -- that's about an hour's drive away, but a stop in Hudson was a great way to break up the drive. The house is very well equipped, beautifully decorated and the setting is spectacular. The master suite, which offers stunning views from its own private porch, is fantastic. Our biggest challenge was just prying ourselves away from the wonderful wrap-around back porch each morning. We could have spent the whole vacation just sitting out there, admiring the view of the Berkshire hills and enjoying the wildlife that comes through the property. While we did some hiking (lots of opportunities for that nearby) we definitely focused on cultural attractions on this trip. I could see returning to this property for more of an outdoor-focused vacation and being easily able to fill another week or more. Hoping we'll get the chance to do that at some point -- I'd return to this property in a heartbeat!

Great Berkshire Rental

Overall great property and great experience. The owner (Rick) was very friendly and responsive to questions. We give it a 5-star rating and recommend renting. Situated in a quiet, bucolic setting, the house is an old renovated farm house, well furnished, comfortable, with original décor and artwork. The property is only 45 minutes from Albany/Saratoga and is centrally located to the Berkshire mountains and activities, i.e., only 30 minutes or less to Tanglewood, Clarke Institute, Stockbridge, etc. The upstairs master bedroom is spacious with a cathedral ceiling, has a very comfortable king bed, and features a walk out deck. We enjoyed reading and star gazing from the deck. The other bedrooms were comfortably furnished. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was in good working order (pots, pans, utensils, appliances, coffee maker, etc.), and we enjoyed preparing several meals. The property also features a great deck and screened porch on the main level. We had outstanding weather and spent many hours enjoying the deck and setting. The house offers all the comforts of home: A/C, cable TV washer/dryer, WiFi and there was plenty of hot water. We rented for 7 days and if we came back to the area we would rent this house again. We purchased this home so we could enjoy the beautiful Berkshires together as a family in a clean, comfortable & care free environment. It is a place where we go to 'get away' and be together with few distractions. We are a skiing family and live on the coast therefore do not use the house in the summer and would like to offer it to someone who appreciates the area and the relaxed atmosphere the house and area offer.

The house is 2.5 hours from both NYC and Boston. It also is just 10 minutes from Jiminy Peak Resort which is terrific place to visit in the summer. Also close to Great Barrington, Southern Vermont, Chatham and Tanglewood. The areas wonderful day trips are endless in all directions.
