Great Harbour Cay är en av öarna i Berry Islands gruppen, som ligger i nordvästra Bahamas. Detta Beach Villa är tre villor kombineras till en för totalt 1600 kvm. Plus en sjal runt däck. Det totalrenoverades 2008. Allt är helt nytt och immaculate!

Detta semesterboende har 2 sovrum och 2 badrum, en utdragbar soffa i vardagsrummet som sover två, vacker, centralt beläget kök med granit bänkskivor importeras från Italien, separat vardagsrum och matplats med fantastisk havsutsikt, och en ny konstruerade stora däck med utsikt över golfbanan och stranden. Det är smakfullt inredda och inkluderar tvättmaskin och torktumlare, plasma tv, surround-stereo, fjärrstyrd Split A / Cs och stora propan grill.

Njut av vindar från hängmattan ligger precis utanför verandan, eller ta några steg ut på den vita finkornig sandstrand. Där kan du ställa in solstol upp under en av de halmtäckta badhytter eller gå till stranden för miles i endera riktningen.

A dreamy Bahamian get-away!

We have stayed in this amazing beach villa several times now, and I just realized that I hadn’t yet written the much deserved raving review. From the very beginning Hector, the home owner, has been so friendly, so accommodating, and so easy to communicate with. It is obvious his goal is for us to enjoy our stay to the fullest. The villa is very comfortable, it makes you feel like you are staying in your own place on the beach! The kitchen is so well stocked, all you need to bring is the food. And the bedrooms are so comfortable, you might be tempted to sleep in if the sunrises and beach weren’t so enticing in the mornings! The villa sleeps 8, so it is a perfect place for a couple of families or a group of friends to come and spend quality time together. And THE ISLAND! Great Harbour is a hidden treasure in the Bahamas. There are many amazing beaches (several where we’ve never seen another person!) The most populated beach is the one in front of the villa, but that only means you might see 2 or 4 people along the entire stretch of beach during the busy season. One of our favorite things to do is to rent a golf cart and explore the island. A wonderful man named Elorn operates a business down at the marina where he rents boats, golf carts, cars, and he has a small storefront stocked with all the necessary items that you might run out of. And ironically, his sweet wife has a cute little store up the stairs from there called “Necessary Tings.” She has the most beautiful handmade Bahamian mementos that I can never resist! If you want to experience some amazing local food, take a beautiful golf cart drive across the island to Bullock’s Harbour to Coolie Mae’s Sunset Restaurant… friendly people, wonderful food, and a gorgeous view. Another favorite is just a short walk down the beach from the villa. The Beach Club has a great location, fun people, awesome burgers, and fabulous rum punch! As wonderful as all of this sounds, you have to keep in mind that this is a small Bahamian island. Do not come here if you are seeking busy touristy activity, crazy nightlife, or swanky restaurants. This is a casual, friendly, real Bahamas. You have to come here ready for a different experience and be ready to love this little island and it’s people!

Amazing place

We had a large group heading to the islands for an event. Having never been there before we received excellent advice from the home owners and had no hassles organizing all the details before our arrival. The locals on the island were all very accommodating and made our experience unforgettable. The description and pictures of the location were definitely accurate (but only seeing in person can you appreciate the real beauty). The house was very clean and comfortable for our group. I would certainly reccommend this property to any friends thinking about the Bahamas. As far as attractions I'd say definitely get out on the water. It's so calm and clear and the fresh seafood was amazing at all of our stops. Carriearl restaurant is a must experience too!

Great Harbour Cay

Great place to get away from it all and completely relax. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The unit is facing the beach and the views were stunning. It also had a beautiful deck for out door eating as you looked over the crystal clean waters. The beach club is a short walk down the beach where you can have breakfast, lunch or just have a drink and meet locals and visitors. The beach was so nice that we never wanted to leave. The owner was able to arrange for a cook to prepare our evening meals. Great Bahamian home cooking. The locals were extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to arrange for a boat to take us to nearby Islands. Don't miss Flo's, great fish restaurant on Little Harbor Cay. Also try Coolie Mays for great local cuisine and unforgettable sunsets. On the way back go to the Blue Lagoon formed by a meteorite. The kids loved jumping in from the 20 foot drop off. Good snorkeling is accessible nearby by boat or off the beach near the unit. Explore the Sugar Caves or just walk on the 3+ mile beach. Make sure you arrange for food before hand, there is not much available on the Island. The caretaker was able to stock up for us before we arrived. I highly recommend using Noble Air Charters if you are coming in from Miami or Fort Lauderdale. There is a charter from Nassau as well. The owner was very helpful in helping to make our stay very enjoyable.

Fisherman's Paradise and Family getaway.

As a long time aficionado of the Bahamas, this location tops as one of my favorites spots next to the Eleuthera’s. I had heard of this Cay a while back and came across the owner at a gathering and scheduled a trip. Very relaxing getaway for the family and the fishing excursion was phenomenal on a bottom fishing expedition. The accommodations were beyond our expectations. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the daily hassles. The owner’s recommendations for local dinning were excellent as well.
