Grosse déception, pb de communication

Annonce fausse :ce n'est pas une annexe qui est louée à l'année, mais la moitié de la maison. La lampe de la terrasse s'éteint sans prévenir à minuit. Bien lire le détail des taxes, cela pèse lourd sur la fin du séjour... Et surtout les propriétaires sont peu aimables ( les seuls mots de bienvenus de la maison, sont sur les taxes, les interdictions de bouger le mobilier ou de toucher aux citrons et oranges) et comme nous ne parlions pas italien, impossible de communiquer correctement. Notre interface INTERCHALET ne nous a pas aidé dans les discussions. Leur point de vue est simple le propriétaire est digne de confiance et nous non. La maison est propre mais la maintenance de la maison laissait à désirer ( comme nous l'avons mis dans un mail à Interchalet) et on nous demande de payer pour des choses que nous n'avons pas cassé, sans nous donner de remise pour la piscine hors d'usage pendant 2 jours ( elle était verte lorsque nous sommes arrivés) ou la clim ( une seule dans la maison..pour une maison partiellement climatisée c'est peu) qui ne fonctionnait pas. Attention aux prochains locataires qui se verront facturer les chaises longues en fin de vie ou la table d'extérieur déjà bien fissurée. Penser à prendre des photos en arrivant pour ne pas vous faire avoir ... Les animaux ne sont pas les bienvenus, ils faut qu'ils soient en laisse en permanence pour ne pas déranger les voisins. Après des années de location, c'est notre 1ère expérience négative ....

Die für 10 Personen ausgegeben...

Die für 10 Personen ausgegebene Unterkunft ist extrem spärlich mit Teller und Tassen, sowie Besteck ausgerüstet. Den "unten" liegenden Kühlschrank sollte man austauschen, da dieser nur noch gebrochene Türschalen aufweist. Teilw. mit Klebeband geklebt. Leider sieht man nur ein Badezimmer, was auch so in Ordnung ist, jedoch wurden die anderen beiden BZ ... ( Bilder ) ausgelassen, da es sich bei dem einen BZ um ein altes, sehr renovierungsbedürftiges handelt. Bei dem anderen kann man nur sagen, dass das besteigen der Dusche über eine wacklige Holzleiter ( Höhenunterschied ca. 50–60cm) extrem gefährlich ist, zumal keinerlei Haltevorrichtungen vorhanden sind, die Leiter wackelig und dieses Bad extrem klein ist.Leider geben diese Bilder zwar voll den Umfang wieder, jedoch sieht alles auf den Bilder schöner aus als es ist. Der Pool war in unserem Zeitraum nicht zugänglich ( 14.10–22.10 ) – alles abgedeckt. Reisetipps: Die Region hat uns angenehm überrascht und bietet viele Ausflugsziele mit dem PKW. San Gimignano ist wunderschön und kann man nur empfehlen. Restaurants ebenfalls zu empfehlen.

Lt. den Beschreibungen war all...

Lt. den Beschreibungen war alles wie beschrieben. Die Einrichtung ist trotz des gehobenen Standards recht einfach. Die Dusche im Parterre sehr klein, die Dusche im 2.stock nur über Treppen erreichbar, also wirklich nichts für ältere Personen. Was nicht so gut war,dass der Ansprechpartner für das Haus kein Wort Englisch sprach und es sehr schwierig war, mit ihm zu kommunizieren. Reisetipps: Da wir mit einer Person im Rollstuhl in der Toskana waren, war alles sehr schwierig und sehr eingeschränkt. War uns vorher bekannt, aber man muss dann einfach einsehen, das vieles garnicht geht oder nur sehr mühsam. Ansonsten war alles sehr schön.

Perfect location in rural Tuscany

The location of La Polveraia is idyllic: surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills of vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. The accommodation is half of a huge, restored farmhouse. The outside areas are spacious and perfect for eating outdoors, which we did for every meal - plenty of shade when required. The pool is very well positioned and well maintained - up a flight of steps in an old olive orchard, catching the sun all day, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The property is near enough to the beautiful town of San Gimignano to make walking possible (2.5km) - mostly along a quiet rural lane. The Coop supermarket on the outskirts of the town is very convenient, with easy parking. The owners (who speak no English) are friendly and welcoming, providing us with home-produced wine, eggs and ham - all delicious. The interior of the property is very spacious, with very comfortable beds. The kitchen on the ground floor (the most convenient one) was very small and cramped if, like us, you want to cook your own food. It was well provided with utensils and pans etc (except a kettle!). but all was a little 'tired' and in need of some upgrading. The upstairs kitchen was a little bigger, but had nothing in it and was clearly rarely used. The bathrooms were good generally, but, again, in need of of some attention in places - (the water in the showers, for example, ran hot and cold alternately and was impossible to get to a constant temperature.) We found the final cleaning fee and the energy charges, added to the expected local tourist tax, rather excessive, eating heavily into our 350 euro deposit - all this was rather awkward, with the owners speaking no English and our Italian being very rudimentary. Overall, this property was great for our family of 6 adults (and could have accommodated an additional two children, sharing a double bed) and we had a great week here.

Beautiful location and very clean house and wonderful garden

The house is away from it all, but easily accessed. The views are wonderful from the house, pool and garden. The house interior is a little quirky with a large useful ding table in the kitchen, but the cooking area is very cramped. There is another kitchen upstairs, but there are no implements in this one and we didn’t use it. Being only five and a baby we managed ok but there was only one sofa for two people in this main room. Another sofa in this room is shown in the photos and would have made a more relaxing space. The furniture and rooms in the house are very characterful and clean. The house lacks simple things like a kettle (so important for English tea drinkers!), a microwave oven, and trays (useful for taking things to the pool or the beautiful outdoor seating areas. The shower in the upper level is not easily accessed as it is raised at least 60cms above floor level. There is no bath for a baby. The advert does not make it clear that the pool is up on another level - 42 steps up, which would not suit everyone. The pool is lovely and beautifully maintained by the couple who live in one of the neighbouring houses. As in other Italian rural areas, a number of dogs bark at night which necessitates closing windows on warm nights. The couple who look after the house were very welcoming and unobtrusive during our stay. They maintain the house and grounds very well. They do not speak English, but we managed to communicate how to use the house etc. On arrival, I would recommend using the Coop in San Gimignano rather than a 20 min trip to Poggibonsi as there was no washing liquid, dishwasher tabs, milk or anything when we arrived at 5 pm. A small welcome pack would have been helpful. Lastly, there are additional costs for tax, electricity and gas which came to €190 for a week. It was such a lovely place we would love to return - it would be perfect if the suggestions above were addressed.
