Från trädgårdsporten leder steg upp till en bred veranda. När du går in finns ett välutrustat kök till vänster och en bekväm sittgrupp på höger sida. En rymlig hall leder till två sovrum, en dubbelsäng och en tvilling, alla med sina egna bad / dusch rum. Båda har utsikt över floden Nilen. En dörr öppnar sig på den inhägnade trädgården.
En marmortrappa leder till första våningen med ett magnifik dubbelrums vardagsrum som sträcker sig över hela bredden av villan, med fönster med utsikt över Nilen och utsikt över östra stranden, inklusive Luxor-templet och det berömda vinterpalatset. I ena änden finns ett bekvämt sittutrymme, medan i den andra änden finns ett magnifik inläggsbord som enkelt rymmer 10 personer.
På denna våning finns ytterligare två sovrum, en stor dubbel, en tvilling, båda med egna bad / duschrum, med utsikt över Nilen.

November Egypt Trip

If traveling to Luxor while in Egypt this villa is a great find. The house is very nice includes many rooms for guests with a great local style. The food was excellent with many options for vegetarian and meat dishes. We did several meals at the house and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere. The location is within walking distance to local restaurants to eat at we enjoyed one across the street where the owner Ali brought us on a sunset dinner boat tour. For local tours of temples and tombs you can get either transport by car or a 5 min boat trip across the Nile. You are able to book tours with the house guide if you need assistance. During our stay Syed was alway available to help with anything we needed while at the house truly a pleasure to have around and made the trip very enjoyable no worries about meals he would set everything up and assist whenever we needed him.

Do not expect a brand new villa with top of the art heating, cooling and lighting. Instead, you will find a modest but typical villa, which is sufficient for a stay of several days, and help you to feel as an explorer of the last century with the Nile just in front of you and the super monuments and tombs not far behind you. Rather than the roof top at the 4th level (although climbing stairs is an excellent cardio training for the visit of the Valley of the Nobles) and rather than the swimming pool (separated from the villa by a street), the reason why you should book this villa is the staff managing it under the supervision of Khairy. Khairy will organize your visits and answer all your needs, Saheed will discreetly take care of you all day long, and Mahmoud will provide good breakfast and dinners, so that, at the end, your only constraint will be to choose among the many incredible sites that you must visit. Whether you are a group of friends or a family, we recommend you to contact the host Christopher who will ensure a good communication from your booking to your arrival, before you pass in the safe and professional hands of Khairy and of his team

Superb

Stay at Riverbank House and it'll be the best holiday you'll ever have. This spacious home on the banks of the Nile is a tranquil oasis. However, the real stars of Riverbank are the staff who will take care of you. Nothing is too much trouble and the chef's meals are all from fresh local produce made daily. The house manager knows the best sites to visit and is a mine of information. All you have to do is to relax and you'll be taken care of!

Merveilleux séjour

Cette villa est magnifique ,bien située au bord du NIL ,la vue est splendide aussi bien cote Luxor que coté montagne.Nous y avons passé des superbes vacances grace à KHYRY qui nous a planifié toutes nos demandes avec professionnalisme ,gentillesse et en qui vous pouvez entièrement faire confiance.Nous avons aussi été charmé par SAHEED l'homme de maison toujours présent et au petits soins pour nous. C'est un homme adorable. En ce qui concerne les repas ,le chef cuisinier MAHMOUD est trés bon.Nous avons fait deux bon restaurants au Caire et ils n'ont pas égalés la cuisine de MAHMOUD. En conclusion la villa est super et bien entretenue le personnel est là juste pour nous facilité la vie et nous faire passer des vacances idylliques.Si nous retournons un jour en Egypte nous reviendrons dans cette villa. Merci encore pour tous ces bons moments Stéphanie,Franck,Emma et Manon

It was in December 2003 that we had a chance meeting with Khyry on the corniche by the Nile. He had just returned from military service in the north of Egypt to his West Bank village, where his family have a sugar plantation and a small farm. Within a short time a bond of friendship and trust was formed between us and when an opportunity arose, we were able to purchase some land in a wonderful position by the Nile.
This was the foundation of a collaboration to build our two beautiful large villas, employing only local labour and craftsmanship. We had together studied some of the designs of Hassan Fahty, the Egyptian architect famed for his domed buildings and we were able to engage the son of one of his team, who had learned the craft from his father. We also visited a number of older local buildings for inspiration on internal floor patterns and other features. Most of the brickwork, all the ornamental ironwork and the woodwork, including doors and furniture were made locally.
Khyry has a wealth of local knowledge and contacts, and this joint enterprise could never have been achieved without him. The association between us has extended to members of our families and this has been an interesting and very rewarding meeting of cultures. Together, we now have a team which excels in providing an individualised and memorable holiday experience.

Delicious and healthy breakfasts and other meals can be provided by our acclaimed cook Mahmood and served to you by Sayeed either on the long table on the first floor or under the open dome on the roof terrace.

Riverbank House, completed in 2013, is a beautiful and distinctive property, situated on a quiet stretch of the West Bank, directly opposite the Old Winter Palace hotel. The villa has unparalleled views of the Nile, both from its large roof terrace and from the magnificent long room overlooking the river on its first floor. The Nile can also be glimpsed from the bedrooms.

In addition to the small gated garden surrounding the villa and the large walled garden, there is our privately owned land leading right to the water's edge.

Khyry will be there to meet you at the airport and he and his team will ensure that you are looked after throughout your stay. They will offer you a full Egyptian breakfast your first morning, during which you can discuss how you might want to spend your time. The choices are wide: there is so much to see in this unique World Heritage Site, said to be the greatest open-air museum in the World.

As well as the Valleys of the Kings, Queens and Nobles, (all easily reached by road from your villa) our motor launch can take you to the East Bank to the stupendous temple at Karnak, with an English, French or German speaking guide if you wish, perhaps stopping off on the way back at the exquisite Luxor Museum or Luxor Temple.

You will also have opportunities to visit local villages (by donkey, camel, car or on foot) and see something of life unchanged for centuries and to experience sunsets from the desert or from a felucca on the Nile; visit the house of Howard Carter, who discovered the tomb of Tutenkamun, as well as other monuments off the beaten track, where discoveries are still being made today. You can also be taken to the edge of the desert
A balloon ride staring in the early morning will provide an unforgettable experience and wonderful photo opportunities.

After an active day you will be ready to enjoy a meal freshly prepared by our wonderful chef. Some nights you may like to visit some some very special restaurants (though most of the ones along the river front would not be recommended.)

You may, of course, just want to relax in the sunshine and gaze at the views from the roof terrace, and perhaps end the day with a barbecue under the stars.

Longer excursions in our minibus can be arranged at short notice. You can even hire a luxurious two-masted Dahabya, Queen Tiye, for an overnight stay at its mooring on the West Bank or a five-day sail along the Nile.

Whatever you decide, we promise you an unforgettable time free from the constraints of a package tour.
