Walking around Seattle is easy , the waterfront, the market, Pioneer Square is all right there. Parking in Seattle is expensive and difficult, the ability to leave your car in Bremerton is affordable and convenient. The Olympic peninsula is less than 40 minutes from here, crossing the Hood Canal floating bridge is stunning and your gateway to the Olympic National Park. There are many scenic drives and hikes here as well as charming Port Townsend and historic Fort Warden.
Driving to Mount Rainier National Park is also about a 1.5 hour drive from this location and you'll avoid most of I-5 by getting there from this direction.
