Aloni Grove in the village of Chorafakia,(or Horafakia),on the Akrotiri peninsula,near to Chania and is the perfect base to explore the island of Crete. The villa is located 20 minutes drive from the historic city of Chania and just a short drive from the airport.
Chorafakia village is a beautiful unspoiled Cretan village that is populated all year round. It boasts amazing sunset views and is surrounded by quiet relaxing sandy beaches and coves. The village has numerous supermarkets,restaurants and car hire. There is a daily bus service to the centre of Chania.
There are numerous small, quiet, 'blue flag awarded' sandy beaches within a couple of minutes of Horafakia. All are ideal and safe for children and have friendly restaurants and beach tavernas on each. Tersanas, Kalathas are the closest beaches but also just a five minute drive leads to Stavros bay where they filmed the oscar winning 'Zorba the Greek' movie. Stavros is a beautiful cove and is famous all over Greece.
